Fishing Chautauqua Lake Tributaries
Speaker/Guide: Dave Anderson
Location: Lakeside porch of the Youth Activities Center near Heinz Beach
Dave is an avid fisherman, volunteer conservationist for the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy and retired kindergarten teacher. Dave has fished almost every stream in Chautauqua County and has an in-depth knowledge of fishing and fish ecology of Chautauqua Lake tributaries. The group will walk a creek on the Chautauqua grounds to observe the stream ecology and for a demonstration of how knowledge of fish habitat and behavior is used in successful stream fishing.
With a focus on land conservation and watershed education, the CWC, a 501C3 is dedicated to preserving and enhancing the water quality, scenic beauty and ecological health of the lakes, streams and watersheds of the Chautauqua region. Working with residents, landowners, landscapers, developers, contractors, public officials, and governmental entities, CWC promotes best land management practices and preserves and restores the waterways/sheds of the region. CWC has led efforts resulting in the conservation of more than 1,000 acres of land and 2 miles of shoreline! chautauquawatershed.org
