Physical Characteristics: This space is a hedge enclosed multi-level garden with two handsome Japanese Maple Trees next to the water fountain featuring a bronze statue. The garden is next to the Methodist Vacation Home, one of the many denomination houses on the grounds.
Historical Context: Situated on the original site of the tent platform home of Bishop John Heil Vincent, one of the cofounders of the Institution. The statue was created by Ruth Sherwood, daughter of William Sherwood who was head of the Institution Music Department in 1941.
